Lamka, October 1, 2025 – The City of Hope Medical Team under leadership of Dr Lawrence continued its mission of serving vulnerable communities by conducting health camps at two local rehabilitation centres – Street Cry Ministry and Back to Life Rehab Centre.
The health outreach program aimed to provide accessible and compassionate healthcare to individuals on their journey of recovery and rehabilitation. The team offered general medical check-ups, counselling, and distribution of essential medicines tailored to the needs of the residents.
In addition to clinical care, the medical staff conducted awareness sessions on personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, and mental health, equipping participants with practical knowledge to strengthen their overall well-being.
Over the course of the health camps, nearly 70 patients were examined. Those requiring specialized attention were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities for further treatment, ensuring continuity of care.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by both residents and staff of the rehabilitation centres, who expressed gratitude for the medical support and encouragement provided. The City of Hope Medical Team reaffirmed its commitment to delivering healthcare with dignity, compassion, and hope, especially to individuals often overlooked in mainstream health systems.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Lamka City of Hope emphasized, “Our mission is not only to provide medical care but also to restore confidence and empower individuals to embrace healthier and more hopeful futures.”
This outreach reflects the ongoing efforts of Lamka City of Hope to build a healthier and more resilient community through partnerships, compassion-driven care, and holistic healing.
