Dr. Chinkholal Thangsing

Founder and President

Dr. Chinkholal Thangsing is a compassionate physician, public leader, and philanthropist whose life’s mission is rooted in healing, dignity, and hope. Widely known as a physician, politician, and philanthropist, he remains one of the most respected voices in public health and humanitarian service. He is the only Indian to receive the Royal Order of Sahametrei from the Royal Government of Cambodia for his outstanding life-saving and humanitarian work. A global pioneer in HIV/AIDS response, he previously served as the Asia Pacific Bureau Chief of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (USA), advancing treatment, advocacy, and human rights across multiple countries. Dr. Thangsing is the Founder and President of Lamka – City of HopeThe Touch of Hope FoundationIndia Cares, and the Agency for Community Care and Development, along with many other national and international nonprofit initiatives. Guided by faith and his deep love for humanity, he continues to inspire transformative change through service, leadership, and unwavering compassion.

Dr. L. Lawrence Khaigin Neihsial

General Secretary

Dr. L. Lawrence Khaigin Neihsial is a compassionate physician, public health advocate, and emerging community leader, currently serving as the General Secretary of Lamka: City of Hope. A graduate of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal in 2019, he is deeply committed to strengthening healthcare systems and uplifting vulnerable communities across Manipur. His professional journey began as a Resident Medical Officer with BAKDIL NGO in Meghalaya, where he worked closely with underserved rural populations. He later served as a COVID Medical Officer, playing an important role in pandemic response, disease prevention, and frontline medical care during a critical period in public health. Dr. Neihsial also previously served as President of the Eimi Medicos Union, demonstrating strong leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to student and professional welfare. Known for his humility, integrity, and dedication to service, he continues to inspire hope and change through his work in healthcare and community development.

Prof. Ginzaniang Tungnung

Treasurer

Prof. Ginzaniang Tungnung is a respected physician, academic leader, and community advocate known for her strong sense of order, discipline, and service. Whether at home, in the hospital, or in public life, she is deeply committed to promoting cleanliness, organization, and dignity—principles she brings to her role as Treasurer of Lamka: City of Hope. She is a distinguished medical professional with MBBS and MD (Medicine) degrees and decades of experience in clinical teaching, healthcare administration, and community development. She has held key leadership roles, including Professor & Head of the Department of Medicine at JNIMS, and currently serves as Professor & Head of Medicine at Churachandpur Medical College (CMC).Known for her integrity, meticulous stewardship, and unwavering dedication to service, Prof. Ginzaniang ensures transparency, accountability, and excellence in financial and organizational matters, helping to uphold the mission and values of Lamka: City of Hope.
