As part of its ongoing commitment to community health and compassionate service, the Health Task Force Team of Lamka: City of Hope carried out a medical outreach program at Street Cry Ministries Community Home in Salem. The initiative was led by Dr. Lawrence Khaigin, Ms. Chiinnu Thangsing, and Ms Ruali Naulak, with support from dedicated volunteers and medical staff. This outreach aimed to extend essential medical care and wellness services to vulnerable groups within the Street Cry Ministries community. Over 30 individuals suffering from a range of health conditions were provided with medical consultations, basic treatment, and health counseling, ensuring that immediate needs were met with care and dignity. Street Cry Ministries currently serves and shelters more than 150 residents, many of whom face challenging life circumstances. Through this collaboration, Lamka: City of Hope reaffirmed its mission to bridge gaps in healthcare access and to bring compassion where it is most needed. This initiative reflects the spirit of our collective mission — “We Care” — promoting health, hope, and humanity at the heart of Lamka’s community development efforts.
