Mega Health Camp at Singnghat as partners with 37 Assam Rifles

January 11, 2025

Lamka City of Hope – Health Task Force Initiative:“One small step for man, one giant leap for the people of Lamka City.”

In pursuit of its mission to reach the unreached and extend hope where it is most needed, Lamka City of Hope – Health Task Force Initiative collaborated with the 37 Assam Rifles under their flagship Operation Sadbhavana to organize a Mega Health Camp at Singnghat Football Ground on January 11, 2025.The joint initiative represented a strong partnership between civil society and the armed forces—rooted in compassion, service, and the shared goal of improving community health in the remote areas of Lamka and its neighboring villages. The City of Hope – Health Task Force Team, comprising Dr. Lawrence Khaiginlal, Ms. Ruali Naulak (Staff Nurse), Ms. Lhingzanei Kipgen, Ms. Chinnnu Thangsing, and Mr. Dongvanglian, worked alongside the dedicated medical and logistical personnel of the Assam Rifles to deliver quality healthcare services to underserved populations.

The one-day camp featured seven specialist doctors covering Gynecology, ENT/Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, and Minor Surgical Procedures, providing free consultations, medicines, and basic diagnostic tests (including RBS and blood pressure screening).A total of 345 patients—120 men, 165 women, and 60 children—benefited from the camp. The majority of cases involved gastric ailments, back pain, hypertension, diabetes, urinary tract infections, and skin and eye diseases, reflecting the region’s pressing healthcare needs. This outreach program served as a vital lifeline for remote communities, offering not just medical relief but also a renewed sense of dignity, care, and belonging. It stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in addressing public health challenges.  Lamka City of Hope expresses its deep gratitude to the 37 Assam Rifles for their humanitarian spirit and steadfast partnership. Their continued service under Operation Sadbhavana exemplifies true dedication to people’s welfare and community well-being.

The event also marked the launch of Lamka City of Hope’s Yearly Health and Humanitarian Campaigns, aimed at ensuring equitable access to healthcare across Lamka and its satellite villages. Together—with compassion, collaboration, and commitment—we continue to build a healthier, stronger, and hope-filled Lamka City. Together, we keep hope alive.
