The Hope Alive Awards 2024: Celebrating Compassion, Leadership, and the Spirit of Service held on the 21st December 2024 honoring individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to the community.
In a landmark initiative that embodies the spirit of community upliftment and collective hope, Lamka City of Hope proudly instituted the Hope Alive Award — the first civic recognition of its kind in Lamka. Conceived in alignment with its vision to celebrate compassion, leadership, and selfless service, the Award honors individuals, organizations, and community groups whose tireless dedication has made a lasting difference in the lives of others and strengthened the spirit of humanity in Lamka and beyond. The inaugural Hope Alive Awards 2024, held on 21st December 2024 at the EBC Centenary Auditorium, New Lamka, marked a defining milestone in Lamka City of Hope’s mission to inspire and empower changemakers. The event gathered a remarkable assembly of citizens, social leaders, professionals, and institutions — united in one purpose: to celebrate excellence, service, and the enduring power of hope. The celebration unfolded in two meaningful sessions — an interactive gathering with the awardees, followed by the formal award ceremony attended by distinguished guests, civic leaders, and members of the community. Through heartfelt tributes, inspiring testimonies, and moments of gratitude, the event not only recognized achievement but also rekindled a shared sense of purpose and unity. It was a day that reminded every participant that even the smallest act of service can ignite great change — that in Lamka, hope is not just an idea, but a living, growing force carried forward by its people.
Order of Program : Session - I began with the arrival and registration of awardees, followed by an interactive session where the honorees shared their journeys, challenges, and visions for a better community. Session II opened with an invocation by Rev. Liankhanlal, Secretary, SBCA, followed by a tribute to the martyrs and frontline volunteers. Mr. Albert Renthlei, Vice President of Lamka City of Hope, extended a warm welcome, and a video presentation introduced the mission and initiatives of the organization. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Chinkholal Thangsing, President of Lamka City of Hope, highlighting the importance of compassion, civic responsibility, and the collective pursuit of transformation. The much-anticipated Award Ceremony celebrated outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of society. Profiles of the awardees were formally released, followed by a heartfelt vote of gratitude from Mr. C.T. Lian Guite, Secretary, Hope Alive Award Committee. The event concluded with a closing prayer and light refreshments, leaving an atmosphere of inspiration and renewed purpose.
